Front of House & Bar staff at The London Palladium

The London Palladium is excited to be heading into the Autumn Concert Season from 9th September 2019 and is currently looking to recruit Casual Front of House Assistants and Bar Staff for this period.

Successful applicants will drive sales in Front of House and Bar Operations whilst delivering the highest levels of customer service in order to ensure that our guests experience a magical visit to our theatre.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure. Applicants should have a confident and positive attitude, be proactive, be willing to work unsociable hours and able to work well under pressure.

Experience working on a bar would be advantageous as well as a willingness to get involved with all aspects of the operation.

Type of contract: Casual Agreement and all terms and conditions of employment will be as per the SOLT/BECTU agreement.

Rate of pay: from £36.15 per shift (3 hours 45 minutes minimum call time)

Front of House Assistant at the Gillian Lynne Theatre

We are currently recruiting Front of House Assistants at the Gillian Lynne Theatre, home to School of Rock, The Musical.

Successful applicants will drive retail sales whilst delivering the highest levels of customer service in order to ensure that our guests experience a magical visit to our theatre.  Applicants should have a confident and positive attitude, be highly motivated, proactive, be willing to work unsociable hours and able to work well under pressure. Previous experience of either retail, bar, hospitality and/or visitor service is essential. 

Contract type available:

  • 8 shows per week
  • Monday & Wednesday to Saturday evenings and Thursday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons
  • Basic hours 30 per week with the potential for some overtime 

Applicants must be available to work all shifts as per the contract type with the exception of holiday allowance.

Contract will be for the run of the show at The Gillian Lynne Theatre and all terms and conditions of employment will be as per the SOLT/BECTU agreement.

Rate of pay: from £36.15 per shift (3 hours 45 minutes) with Sundays paid at double time.

ROLE

We are looking for hard-working, enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Front of House team – providing an exceptional customer welcome and retail experience for our visitors.

Responsibilities/Duties include:

  • Offer a charming experience at one of our bars or additional sales points, demonstrating great product knowledge and an ability to maximise sales by tailoring offers, products and services to the individual customer
  • To usher inside the auditorium, upholding and enforcing all visiting company, Health and Safety, and fire evacuation policies and procedures – ensuring that the theatre experience is both enjoyable and safe.
  • To interact with all audience members – delivering an exceptional service that ensures a personable experience is achieved.
  • Securely handling cash, taking the appropriate care and accuracy for transactions through the tills during sales periods.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties or activities as instructed by theatre management.
