Inclusion
At the heart of LW Theatres is a culture of inclusion, where everyone feels seen and heard and can be their best professional selves at work.
Regardless of your background, all we ask is that you have the skills and experience required and the desire to succeed. In return, we pledge to ensure that our selection process is both transparent and fair.
We’re committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. To that end, we’ve implemented various initiatives and policies, including our Dignity at Work policy, to ensure that everyone feels valued and respected.
Improving the representation of women in technical theatre
LW Theatres has partnered with Parents in Performing Arts (PiPA) to work on improving the representation of women in our technical theatre departments. For this reason, we particularly welcome applications from women and those who identify as female for any technical positions we recruit for.
Family Friendly Initiatives
As a family owned business, we value the importance of family relationships, both within the Company and in the lives of our colleagues.
We demonstrate our commitment to supporting our employees’ families by offering:
• Enhanced Maternity Leave pay
• Enhanced Paternity Leave pay
• Enhanced Shared Parental Leave pay
• Enhanced Adoption Leave pay
Flexible Working
Where operationally possible we embrace flexible work arrangements. We’re open to discussing your individual needs and providing the necessary equipment to suit individual circumstances.
Gender Equality
Breaking new ground is a core value at LW Theatres. We were one of the first West End theatre companies to adopt gender-neutral job titles. This progressive step has been implemented across all of our theatres, reflecting our commitment to equality and inclusivity.
We want to ensure that our teams are fully supported as they may face significant periods, or difficult challenges, in their lives. To support our aim of providing a truly inclusive working environment, we have introduced four new inclusive policies; Transgender Inclusion, Menopause Support, Pregnancy Loss and Fertility Treatment Support.
Wellbeing Initiatives
At LW Theatres, we believe that employee wellbeing is essential for a positive and productive work environment. We understand that our people are at the heart of our business, and we’re committed to supporting their physical, mental, and emotional health.
That’s why we offer a range of wellness initiatives, including theatre specific incentives, wellness workshops, mental health first aid training, Employee Assistance scheme and flexible working arrangements.
We believe that investing in our colleagues’ wellbeing not only benefits them but also contributes to the success of LW Theatres.
Inclusive Working Education programme
As we put in place efforts to diversify our workforce, it’s important to us that we are fostering a culture whereby a more diverse workforce are fully embraced and set up to succeed.
We realise the importance of embedding an inclusive culture and have therefore introduced an Inclusive Working education programme across the company, including specific Inclusive Leadership training for our leadership population.
To reinforce our commitment to Dignity at Work, we incorporate training on this topic into our onboarding curriculum. This ensures that all new employees are familiar with our standards and expectations from the very beginning.
