Lighting Swing Showman, Her Majesty's Theatre

We are seeking to appoint a Lighting Swing Showman at Her Majesty’s Theatre, home to the timeless classic The Phantom of the Opera.

The role involves follow-spotting, Stage LX duties such as plugging up practicals, Pyrotechnics and general day to day maintenance tasks.

The successful candidate will have experience of follow-spotting on West End or National productions as well as a good general knowledge of theatre lighting.

Front of House and Bar Staff, The London Palladium

We are currently recruiting Front of House and Bar Staff for Snow White, this year’s Pantomime at The London Palladium.

Successful applicants would be required to work for the entire 6 week run of the show, starting with an induction on Friday 7th December until Sunday 13th January, including Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

Stage Chargehand, Gillian Lynne Theatre

Gillian Lynne Theatre is looking to recruit a Stage Chargehand.

The successful candidate will have experience of counterweight flying as well as previous experience in a busy production theatre environment. A good understanding of Health & Safety is essential.

Front of House Assistants, Cambridge Theatre

The Cambridge Theatre, home to Matilda the Musical is currently seeking Front of House Assistants to join their team.

Successful applicants will drive retail sales whilst delivering the highest levels of customer service in order to ensure that our guests experience a magical visit to our theatre.  Applicants should have a confident and positive attitude, be highly motivated, proactive, be willing to work unsociable hours and able to work well under pressure. Previous experience of either retail, bar, hospitality and/or visitor service is essential.

Contract type available:
– 8 shows per week

– Tuesday to Saturday evenings and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday afternoons

-Basic hours 30 per week with the potential for some overtime

Rate of pay: from £36.15 per shift (3 hours 45 minutes)

Redcoat Butler, Cambridge Theatre

We are seeking to appoint a Redcoat Butler at the Cambridge Theatre to provide first class customer service whilst hosting VIP functions. Other responsibilities include working as an attendant and occasionally assisting at VIP dinners.

Essential qualities required for this position:-

  •  Customer focused and enthusiastic about providing high standards of service to VIP guests
  • Smart appearance
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work 8 shows per week for the current production of Matilda the Musical
  • Available for daytime/aftershow functions where required
  • Possess a confident, proactive and outgoing approach and an ability to work well using their initiative
  • Team player

Desirable qualities for this position:

  • Previous Hospitality/Function experience would be highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of LW Theatres Group and shows

Front of House Assistants, Adelphi Theatre

Broadway’s Tony Award winning musical Kinky Boots is currently delighting audiences at the Adelphi Theatre in the heart of London’s West End. Kinky Boots is an uplifting musical inspired by true events and based on the hit movie taking you from the factory floor to the glamourous catwalks of Milan.

The Adelphi Theatre is currently seeking Front of House Assistants to join their team.

-Basic hours 30 per week with the potential for some overtime

Applicants must be available to work all shifts as per the contract type with the exception of holiday allowance and must be available to work throughout the Christmas period.

Contract will be for the remainder of the show at The Adelphi Theatre and all terms and conditions of employment will be as per the SOLT/BECTU agreement.

Rate of pay: from £36.15 per shift (3 hours 45 minutes)

HEAD OFFICE VACANCIES

The head office team is based at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane and provide dedicated support to all our Theatres. Roles at head office may include IT, Finance, Programming, HR, Operations, Works and Hospitality.

Head of Finance

We are seeking to appoint a Head of Finance to oversee the day-to-day operational and strategic activities of our Finance department.

The Head of Finance will report to the Finance Director, and will provide leadership to the Finance team, ensuring all accounting and reporting requirements are met.

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), will have previous experience of working in a senior Finance position with departmental leadership responsibilities as well as experience of leading on finance projects and contributing to wider business projects. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead and motivate team as well as building good working relationships with external contacts.

Approved Electrician

We are seeking an Electrician to work within a small maintenance department covering the maintenance and refurbishment of electrical installations throughout the Group’s premises.

The successful applicant will hold a minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation work: City and Guilds 2391. Must have relevant contracting industry experience and be JIB Electrician standard.

Relevant experience working in Historic / Public Buildings would be considered an advantage.
