West End Eurovision 2019
FINAL CURTAIN CALL
This show is no longer running.
Sequins, spandex and glitter balls at the ready, West End Eurovision is back! There will be a sea of flags and the most outrageous costumes as some of theatreland’s biggest shows battle it out to be crowned the champions of West End Eurovision, in aid of the Make A Difference Trust.
The casts of Aladdin, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Follies, Mamma Mia, Only Fools and Horses, The Phantom of the Opera and Wicked will be competing against each other singing original Eurovision Song Contest songs. Giving their all to lift four coveted West End Eurovision trophies: The Champions, Best Ident Movie, Best Costume and the Judge’s Award for Best Choreography and Direction.
Joining the judging panel this year will be Amber Davies, Bonnie Langford, Wayne Sleep OBE and Tim Vincent.
If that’s not enough, there will be special performances from Eurovision star, Dana International plus 2019 UK Eurovision act, Michael Rice will be performing the UK entry, Bigger Than Us.
Since the first contest was staged in 2008, the event has raised over £400,000 to support the MAD Trust. The Trust works with its partners to support HIV and AIDS projects both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa building awareness and providing care support and education.
