Sandra-Mae: Live at The Other Palace

FINAL CURTAIN CALL
This show is no longer running.

Every now and then, a young performer comes along with a sound that captures an audiences’s imagination, turns heads and crosses generations. Sandra-Mae has one of those voices that makes you sit up and take notice.

Hailing originally from Vancouver, Sandra-Mae now calls London home.

Her voice and sax playing has wowed audiences across North America and Europe, including twice at the Ottawa Jazz Festival (opening for Dave Brubeck), The Vancouver Jazz Festival, The NEL in Amsterdam, and the Dakota Building in New York.

Now, Sandra-Mae finally debuts an album of original songs that weaves effortlessly between soul, funk and R&B.

With influences like Etta James, Donny Hathaway, Quincy Jones, and D’Angelo, Sandra-Mae creates a unique sound that combines old-school vibe with a modern twist.

This is going to be one of those “this is where it all began” concerts. One not to be missed.

Sandra-Mae has the voice with the purity of a singing angel that can suddenly change into the grating of a chain-smoking whiskey-drinker. It all makes for a star who I’m sure will get even brighter…” – C. Proctor, Journalist
