Gospel Does Theatre Classics will feature an exciting range of talent including stars from the worlds of gospel and theatre who share experience performing on national and international stages. Talent includes West End performers, singers who have performed on The Voice, Britain’s Got Talent, at the Royal wedding and for multi-platinum selling artists.

The project will mark the first time in UK history the worlds of gospel and theatre have collided in a wholly new genre of performance, the birth of “Gospel Theatre”. This incredibly dynamic venture is being supported by the Arts Council and The Jarrett Foundation who, together with world-class musicians and tutors, will be directing a cohort of established award-winning gospel performers for this unique theatrical opportunity.

The company is comprised of MOBO award-winning artists and those whose clients including the BBC, Channel 4, Simon Cowell, Chaka Khan, Westlife, Gwen Stefani, Gary Barlow, Will Young, Tom Jones, Emeli Sande, Sam Smith and the late George Michael and Whitney Houston, just to name a few.

The musicality of gospel will combine with an array of classics from a vast traditional and contemporary musical theatre repertoire, to deliver an unforgettable experience through the creation of an uplifting transcendent sound.
