Angry Bear presents the first of its ‘Angry Bear Scratches for…’ new writing nights.

The charity this month’s edition will be raising funds for is Young Minds, the children and young people’s mental health charity. Everyone involved – the writers, directors and actors – are donating their talents to raise both money and awareness for the charity. All proceeds from the night will be donated to Young Minds.

The charity also serves as the brief for the pieces being presented; the six different short plays have all been inspired by the stimulus ‘MINDS’.

From 150 anonymous submissions, Angry Bear are proud to present:

• Free Hugs by L. H. Grant
• Almost a Superhero by Barry Wood
• Shuffle by Francis Grin
• Two Mice by John Ratchford 
• The Right by Stuart Purcell

As well as a brand new short play ‘Beyond’ by Olivier-nominated director, playwright and actor Matthew Dunster.
