200 Years Later - Jane Austen's 'Sanditon' the pop/rock Musical

FINAL CURTAIN CALL
This show is no longer running.

ANNA is a songwriter in a girl band. When her band realises that the inspiration for their YouTube hits ‘Opportunity’ and ‘Shallow’ was Charlotte Heywood in Austen’s last satirical novel, her band is persuaded to go on a musical journey through Sanditon’s plot and characters. They discuss in song what relevance it has to their own lives ‘200 Years Later’.

This musical has grown in complexity and ambition since first advertised, and the cast of highly talented professional actor/musicians from Essex and Suffolk now number eleven. The music ranges through the thought-provoking to the barking-mad and onto the anthemic with amazing harmonies. Angie Diggen’s direction packs a huge show onto a small stage.
