Discovering, developing and reimagining musical theatre is at the heart of The Other Palace.

We’re passionate about theatre and want our spaces to encourage and nurture the next generation of theatre-makers and musicals. Alongside our programme of fully produced work we will be opening the doors to the development process with a range of initiatives, from connecting theatre-makers to staging workshop performances.

All That Scratch Podcast

A curated hour of promising new British musical theatre recorded live at The Other Palace. Handpicked from open submissions, each episode features a line-up of talented writers sharing their work and taking part in exclusive interviews. Join our live studio audience for an intimate evening of original writing – a chance to hear your future favourite musicals before anybody else!

The Other Masterclass

The Other Masterclass series provides the next generation of musical theatre performers a platform to learn from the West End’s leading talents. Past mentors include Rachel Tucker, Fra Fee, Michael Xavier, Simon Lipkin and Laura Pitt-Pulford.

Each mentor leads a masterclass focusing on a different aspect of performance, providing feedback and advice to the performers chosen to work onstage. Applications to work with the mentor are open to all.

Creatives Connect

An informal networking opportunity to meet fellow theatre-makers, share ideas and form future collaborations in The Other Gin Palace.

Anyone is welcome – come have a drink and meet creatives at all stages in their careers!

Open Mic Night

Open Mic Nights provide emerging artists from all disciplines the opportunity to perform original music for the first time. Open Mic Nights are for anyone who wants to try out new material in front of an audience.

Our Open Mic nights are free to attend and take place in The Other Gin Palace, so just turn up, grab a drink and enjoy new music!
