We are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership between Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and LW Theatres, to further champion excellence, education and diversity in the performing arts sector.
The Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation x LW Theatres Scholarship at Mountview Academy will support one student to complete a 2-year FdA in Technical Production at Mountview, covering their full tuition fees plus a maintenance bursary of £12,667 per year. This represents an investment of over £45,000 in the future of technical production talent and opens doors to exciting backstage roles in live entertainment.
Mountview, Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, and LW Theatres share a commitment to removing barriers to careers in the arts and believe that a person’s circumstances should never prevent them from reaching their potential. This new partnership builds on Mountview’s long-standing relationship with Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation and their support for Mountview’s Musical Theatre scholarships and Ptaszysnki Producer initiative. With LW Theatres’ support, together we can widen access for the next generation of technical production talent even further.
Principal Sally Ann Gritton says, “Mountview is incredibly excited to launch this new scholarship, supporting the next generation of technical production talent and creating vital access to production arts training. I’m especially delighted that this support comes from such important organisations in the industry, who recognise the quality of Mountview’s training and the longstanding track record of graduates who have continued their careers at LW Theatres.”
Adam Foster, Learning, Development and Outreach Manager at LW Theatres says, “At LW Theatres, we are committed to creating a new pipeline of technical theatre talent. We understand the financial hurdles that can prevent talented individuals from pursuing careers in our industry. This scholarship removes those barriers, allowing talented individuals to pursue world-class training at Mountview. By investing in these future technical stars now, we are ensuring a more diverse and inclusive future for our industry.”
