We are very excited to announce nine new Studio shows, including the return of Baby Broadway (Christmas edition!) and Club A Cappella, new musicals Séance and Monstersongs, work-in-progress productions Steep Themselves in Night and Looking for Gatsby plus three concerts.
Steep Themselves In Night | Wed 3 Oct, 2pm
Four young mortals unexpectedly crossing paths with four bumbling fairies causes chaos in the enchanted forest – but our fairytale-hating narrator loves it. A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Gilbert and Sullivan-inspired mashup, this is a contemporary musical fairytale with a twist… or two. Presented as part of our new musical workshop sharings.
Peter Caulfield Presents: ‘A Time For Change’ | Sun 7 Oct, 5pm
Join Peter and friends for an eclectic night of Live music whilst helping to raise money for the Terrence Higgins Trust. A fun, uplifting and reflective night of soul, folk, jazz, rock and pop anthems and original tracks. With incredible musicians and special guests including Gemma Sutton, Rebecca McKinnis & Verity Quade this is a night not to be missed!
Club A Cappella | Sun 21 Oct (7pm) and Tue 27 Nov (8pm)
The new home of all-vocal music in the UK, Club A Cappella returns to The Other Palace, bringing together four of the UK’s best groups for one incredible show, with pitch perfect arrangements and zero instruments! From world champion beatboxers to TV Superstar groups, barbershop to club classics; you’ve never heard A Cappella until you’ve seen it live.
Séance | Thu 1 – Sat 3 Nov
A mind-bending psychological drama, based on a true story. Norway, 1934: the celebrated medium, Elizabeth Turner, helps the police solve crimes, financiers make deals, and grieving families say goodbye to loved ones beyond the grave. But when her prediction of her own father’s death comes true, she finds herself accused of murder.
Monstersongs: An Interactive Concert | Mon 5 – Tue 6 Nov, 8pm
A unique theatrical event that immerses audiences in a synthesized world of graphic novels, rock musicals, live performance, and new technology. A portal into the psyches of often misunderstood creatures; Monstersongs flips the switch on the monster narrative, inviting audiences to explore the humanity that binds us all.
Looking for Gatsby | Mon 12 – Wed 14 Nov, 8pm
1928 New York. A woman walks into a derelict Speakeasy – she says she is looking for Gatsby. She has something to tell him… Picking up where F Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby” ended, Daisy needs to confront the past in order to move on. Presented as part of our new musical workshop sharings.
A Christmas Carol In Concert | Fri 30 Nov, 8pm
Modern-day balladeers Green Matthews take our best-loved festive adventure back to its Victorian fireside roots, painting a vivid and evocative picture of Dickens’ world. Uplifting and melodic, A Christmas Carol: In Concert recaptures the simple Yuletide delights of fellowship, laughter and good cheer.
Between Us | Sat 1 Dec, 8pm
An intimate musical conversation between ‘Us’ (pianist Will Bartlett and vocalist Kate Mullins) and ‘You’, the audience. They will craft your favourite songs into an exciting evening of laughter and tears, danger and fun. This is also the official launch of their debut album and we will be showcasing many of the songs through the evening.
Baby Broadway | Sun 16 Dec, 11am
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas at a festive Baby Broadway concert this December! An interactive Christmas performance suitable for all ages.
