New Casting Announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s Matilda The Musical
Exciting news from the Cambridge Theatre! The Royal Shakespeare Company has announced new casting for its long-running hit, Matilda The Musical. As the production enters its 13th year at the Cambridge Theatre, the show continues to captivate audiences with its enchanting story and dynamic performances.
Meet the New Matildas
Joining the talented lineup in the title role of Matilda from September 10th are Angelica Scott, Anna Deikalo, Ava Posniak, and Sophia Saravanan. These young stars are set to bring their unique flair to the beloved character, joining the ranks of remarkable performers who have taken on this iconic role.
New Principal Cast Members
The production also welcomes several new principal cast members:
- Eve Norris will step into the shoes of Miss Honey.
- Neil McDermott takes on the role of Mr. Wormwood.
- Tiffany Graves will portray Mrs. Wormwood.
- Kieran Hill continues his acclaimed performance as Miss Trunchbull.
Fresh Faces in the Ensemble
The ensemble will see the addition of Pearce Barron, Alex Louize Bird, Reece Budin, Dan Cooke, William Elijah-Lewis, Issy Khogali, Sam Lips, Sam Jeffrey Parkes, Jak Skelly, Ralph Watts, and Dawn Williams. These performers join an already stellar adult cast that includes Esme Bacalla-Hayes, Ronan Burns, Karina Hind, Sam Lathwood, Gabrielle Davina Smith, and Deborah Tracey.
New Young Performers
The young cast members playing Bruce, Lavender, Nigel, and other pupils at Crunchem Hall will feature newcomers such as Pasquale Aben-Danan, Elyza Alderton, Beatrice Armitage, Joseph Burrows, Maddy Collings, Sienna Culm, Joey Grady, Blake Graham, Alexandra Horner, Adam Hussain, George Jones, Amber Koduah-Hutchison, Tristan Marwa, Isabelle McLatchie, Anayah Thomas, and Kobe Warmington. These talented young actors join the existing young cast, including Nesim Adnan, Ryo Appadu, Amelia-Grace Cambridge, Max Garlick, Jesamine-Bleu Gibbs, Kaylen Luke, Charlie Man-Evans, Yvie Moore, and Marnie Rae Warren-Baker.
