Des O’Connor & Jimmy Tarbuck

This Sunday evening (4th October) saw the return of two London Palladium and showbiz legends perform together for the very first time. In aid of the newly named Royal Variety Charity, Des O’Connor and Jimmy Tarbuck took to the Palladium stage for a night of classic entertainment, comedy and – as is tradition at the venue – music.

Joined on stage by the Ray Monk Orchestra and directed by Kevin Bishop, former host of Sunday Night at The London Palladium Jimmy Tarbuck kicked off proceedings by amusing the audience with his quick wit, whilst Des O’Connor dominated Act Two much to the delight of the 2,000 strong auditorium.

Between the pair, they have performed more times than any other artist, presenter or comedian in the history of the West End venue.

The duo’s return to the Palladium was organised by the Royal Variety Charity to raise funds for individuals who have worked professionally in the entertainment industry, on or off stage, who are in need of help.
