Exciting news for theatre lovers! Disney Theatrical Group has announced that Luke Brady will star as the title character in the highly anticipated musical adaptation of Hercules, set to open in London’s West End at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane on 24 June 2025. Previews will commence on 6 June, and the production is currently booking until 10 January 2026.

This fresh take on the beloved story is inspired by the classic 1997 animated film from Walt Disney Studios. Featuring music by Alan Menken and lyrics by David Zippel, the production boasts a brand-new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah. Directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with co-choreography by Tanisha Scott, this rendition promises to capture the magic of the original film while bringing a new energy to the stage.

The animated Hercules, directed by renowned filmmakers John Musker and Ron Clements, was a major hit, winning accolades such as the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards and receiving an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song for the iconic “Go the Distance.”

For those eager to secure their seats, priority booking for patrons who signed up to the Hercules and LW Theatres mailing lists, as well as for O2 Priority members, opens today. Public booking will commence on 7 November. Ticket prices for previews start at an affordable £25, with tickets post-press night available from £29.50.

In an exciting twist, the production will feature Lightning Performances with three ticket prices across the entire theatre—so the earlier you book, the better your seat! Additionally, Family Tickets will be available for selected performances, accommodating groups of two adults and at least two children under 16.

The first booking period will also include several access performances: a Captioned Performance on 15 September, a Signed Performance on 23 September, a Relaxed Performance on 15 November, and an Audio Described Performance on 29 November.

Disney’s Hercules promises to be a musical adventure in a league of its own.
