Posted 27th February 2025

Jamie Lloyd has built a reputation for breathing new life into classic works with a special focus that places the spotlight firmly on the performers. His collaborations with some of the world’s most celebrated actors, including Emilia Clarke, Tom Hiddleston and James McAvoy, have resulted in critically acclaimed productions that push boundaries and challenge audiences.
Bringing his signature style to LW Theatres with his Season of Shakespeare, The Jamie Lloyd Company continues to create ground breaking work that captivates theatre lovers. With a commitment to accessibility, the company frequently offers innovative pricing structures, ensuring that a diverse audience can experience world-class theatre.
The season started off with his spectacular staging of Shakespeare’s epic The Tempest, starring the legendary Sigourney Weaver. This has been followed up with the “gloriously giddy, brilliantly inventive ” (The Telegraph) production of Much Ado About Nothing, with Tom Hiddleston’s razor-sharp Benedick opposite Hayley Atwell’s fiery Beatrice. The 5-star mega hit production is non-stop joy, from the moment you walk into the theatre until the cast takes their final bow.
And not stopping there, in December we were delighted with the announcement that Jamie would be bringing Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stunning musical Evita back to London at The London Palladium in summer 2025.
Under his direction, the legendary musical returns to the West End in a bold new production that promises to reveal the raw humanity at the heart of Eva Perón’s story.
Featuring an iconic score including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh What A Circus, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this production is produced by Michael Harrison for Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals and The Jamie Lloyd Company.
Lloyd’s Evita will dive into the complexities of Eva Perón’s journey—from poverty to becoming the most powerful woman in Latin America. A figure of hope and controversy, her meteoric rise and tragic fate will be explored with the intensity and depth that have become hallmarks of Lloyd’s productions.
Taking the stage at The London Palladium for a strictly limited 12-week run from 14 June 2025, this production guarantees to be an unmissable theatrical event. Audiences can expect an emotionally charged interpretation that lays bare the truth behind Eva’s enduring legend.
