Toast Ale Takeovers During the Run of Nigel Slater's Toast

Posted 14th March 2019

We’re pairing up with the award-winning brewers who produce craft beer made from surplus fresh bakery bread.

To celebrate the run of Nigel Slater’s Toast we will be launching monthly brewery takeovers with Toast Ale the second Thursday of every month between April and July.

We’re pairing up with the award-winning brewers, who produce craft beer made from surplus fresh bakery bread. The monthly bar takeovers will comprise of a full range of the excellent Toast Ale beers in a creative setting.

Did you know 44% of the bread produced in the UK is never consumed? We waste almost 900,000 tonnes of bread every year – around 24 million slices every day. On the night, a representative from the brewery will be telling facts like these and more, giving a little talk on the brewing process and how they are working to combat food waste in the UK.

The four beers available on the night will be:

  • Toast Purebread Pale Ale 5%
  • Toast Bloomin’ Lovely Session IPA 4.5%
  • Toast Much Kneaded Craft Lager 5%
  • Toast Born and Bred American Pale Ale 5%

Guests can choose to grab a quick brew before of the show or settle in for the evening, trying the four Toast beers and enjoying the bar area. Your opportunity to do your bit to battle food waste!
